Hive Cosmetic Products and the New UK Cosmetic Regulations

For one of our “Beekeepers Forum” events Andy Bullen talked about the exact requirements that we need to follow to comply with current UK cosmetics law when producing cosmetics from hive products.

PIF = Product Information File
RP = Responsible Person
SCPN – Submit Cosmetic Production Notification (UK only)
CPNP = Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (EU only)
PAO – Period After Opening
INCI = International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients
COA = Certificate of Analysis
TDS = Technical Data Sheet
SDS = Safety Data Sheet
CPSR = Cosmetic Product Safety Report
GMP = Good Manufacturing Practice
PET = Preservative Efficacy Test
IFRA = International Fragrance Association
